PURCHASE PROCESS:
1. Select from the options available for your pet portrait – 1.Face, 2.Full Body or 3.Two pets (in the same drawing). The more pets included, the more expensive the price due to increased work time to complete each piece. If you would like more than 2 pets in the same image, please email us at papapressco@gmail.com to discuss details.
2. Complete the purchase online.
3. When you are ready please send us (Jody or Sophia) an email at papapressco@gmail.com with your favourite photo of your pet. Please try to send high resolution photos with natural lighting and clear/in focus details. The better the photo reference, the better the artwork.
4. Please include the size requirements for the final file in your email. ie. If you have a specific frame or size in mind for the final print. It is difficult to adjust once the drawing process has begun and later changes may affect the quality of the print.
5. Once the sketch is completed we will send you a proof and you can request any minor adjustments. e.g. Repositioning on the canvas/page. Major changes and adjustments, such as redrawing due to a change of mind about the pose, will incur a fee at our hourly rate.
6. Once the sketch is approved, we will send the final version to you. At this stage you cannot make changes to the pose. If there are any final changes or adjustments at this stage, you will be charged at our hourly rate.
7. When finished you will be emailed a JPEG file in an A3 size, either portrait or landscape orientation depending on which dimensions suit the artwork best, unless you requested otherwise at the beginning of the process. Please let us know BEFORE we start drawing if you would like a different size as once completed it is harder to resize the image without losing some quality. If you do not specify a size the work will be completed to A3 size.
TURNAROUND TIME:
Once you have purchased your portrait you are placed on our current order list. We work on these in the order they are received. If we receive more than 10 orders at the same time you will be placed on a waiting list and emailed with an estimated completion time based on where you are on the list. If you require the artwork by a certain due date, like a special occasion or for a birthday gift, please provide details in your email to papapressco@gmail so this can be taken into account.
Due to this process please allow approximately 2-3 weeks for realistic portraits and 1-2 weeks for line art to be completed. Depending on where you are on the current order list you may receive the portrait sooner, but it cannot be guaranteed unless you contact us with a due date before purchasing.
FINALLY:
You can print this at home if you wish to do so. Although, for best results we suggest having it printed through a printing service that offers art prints. They have printing options with a wider selection of archival papers and inks which can more accurately capture the colours in the artwork and have it last for a long time. Feel free to print it as many times as you like for personal use.
PapaPressCo retains copyright for all artworks created and may use it for promotional materials unless asked not to. You do not have permission to use the artwork commercially. You cannot sell the image or prints. If you wish to do so, please contact us for a copyright licence quote.
